Applying Discounts to Estimates

Discount Types

ServTrackr supports flexible discount options:

• Percentage: Discount as a percentage of subtotal (e.g., 10% off)
• Fixed Amount: Specific dollar amount off (e.g., $50 off)
• Per Item: Discount applied to specific line items
• Conditional: Discount based on total value or items purchased
• Time-Based: Early bird or seasonal discounts

Applying Discounts

Add discounts to your estimates:

1. In the estimate, click "Add Discount"
2. Select from saved discounts or create new
3. Choose percentage or fixed amount
4. Enter the discount value
5. Add description (shown to customer)
6. View updated total with discount applied

Discounts apply to the subtotal before tax. You can have multiple discounts on one estimate.

Discount Rules

Create reusable discount rules:

• Referral Discounts: Built-in discount for referred customers
• Senior/Military: Discounts for specific customer groups
• Volume Discounts: Progressive discounts for large jobs
• New Customer: First-time customer incentives
• Seasonal Promotions: Limited-time offers
• Contract Customers: Maintenance contract pricing

Tracking Discount Usage

Monitor discount impact on your business:

• View total discounts given by period
• Track which discounts are used most
• Analyze discount impact on close rates
• Calculate discount cost vs. customer lifetime value
• Set discount budgets and limits
• Require manager approval for large discounts
