Types of Line Items
ServTrackr supports multiple types of line items for maximum flexibility:
- Service Items: Labor and service charges with customizable pricing
- Inventory Items: Physical products from your inventory with auto-updated stock
- Price Book Items: Pre-configured services with flat, hourly, or per-unit pricing
- Service Packages: Bundled services with package pricing and individual item breakdown
- Custom Items: One-time items with manual descriptions and pricing
Adding Line Items
Multiple ways to add items to your estimate:
- Quick Add: Type to search all available items and select from dropdown
- From Library: Browse your saved items, packages, and services
- From Inventory: Add products directly from stock
- From Templates: Load complete item lists from templates
- Manual Entry: Create custom line items on the fly
- Copy from Previous: Duplicate items from past estimates
Editing and Reordering
Customize line items after adding:
- Click any field to edit title, description, quantity, or price
- Drag and drop items to reorder them
- Adjust quantities with increment/decrement buttons
- Override prices from Price Book or inventory
- Add internal notes visible only to your team
- Duplicate items quickly with copy button
- Delete items with trash icon
Optional Line Items
Present choices to customers with optional items:
- Mark items as "Optional" to create upgrade opportunities
- Optional items shown separately on estimate
- Calculate totals with and without optionals
- Create Good-Better-Best presentations
- Track which options customers choose most often
- Convert selected optionals to regular items when accepted
