Price Book Structure
Organize your Price Book for easy access:
- Categories: Group items by service type (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)
- Subcategories: Further organize within categories (AC Repair, Heating Repair, etc.)
- Service Items: Individual services you offer
- Pricing Rules: Items with calculation-based pricing
- Packages: Bundled service offerings
Creating Service Items
Add services to your Price Book:
- Go to Price Book → Service Items
- Click "Add Service Item"
- Enter service name and description
- Set the price or pricing method
- Add cost for profit tracking
- Select category for organization
- Set tax applicability
- Save the item
Pricing Rules
Create flexible pricing based on calculations:
- Flat Rate: One fixed price regardless of quantity or time
- Hourly: Rate × hours (e.g., $125/hour for 3 hours = $375)
- Per Unit: Rate × units (e.g., $5/sq ft × 200 sq ft = $1,000)
- Tiered: Different rates based on quantity brackets
- Minimum Charge: Set minimum price for small jobs
Service Packages
Bundle services for better value:
- Combine multiple services into one package
- Set package price lower than individual items total
- Show itemized breakdown on estimates
- Create maintenance packages for recurring revenue
- Offer seasonal packages (tune-up specials, etc.)
- Track which packages sell best
